I've been meaning to get around to watching it but I keep putting it off. Finding myself with some extra time to myself lately so I'm thinking of finally getting around to it. How is it, is it worth a watch? Tone-wise which series is it closest to?
Wild ARMs is still the best JRPG series in my opinion and we desperately need a new game in the series!

It's fun so long as you remember that it's primarily an episodic, almost anthology-like show. There are ongoing plot threads and mysteries, but if you go in expecting the plot to actually go anywhere or the main mystery to actually be resolved you'll get very frustrated very quickly.

Fun characters, fun weekly stories, good animation, some serious wtf episodes. If you like fantasy horror you'll probably like it.

I've been thinking about watching it on Crunchyroll but I haven't gotten around to yet. Seems like it might be okay. I think the main reason I haven't watched it is because no one from the first four seasons are in it. I don't have much interest in new characters.

I believe so. Let me know what seasons you have available to you as Im curious. In America we only have Tri and seasons 6+.

Just looked at the site, Digimon Adventure 01 and 02, Adventure 2020 and Ghost Game.

Yeah I'm gonna go ahead and start watching it tonight. I'll post my thoughts after the first few episodes.

Watched one episode, currently watching the second. Interesting so far but feels very dark from the get go.

Not necessarily a bad thing though.

It was fun, but near the end when it focused on the overall plot everything was way too rushed. Felt like there was miscommunication somewhere about how many episodes it would have.
I want a pet Lavos Spawn.

Nice. You finished it pretty quickly. What are you going to watch next? And how would you compare Ghost Game to the other Digimon seasons?

I'm gonna check out Adventure 2020, see what that's all about.

And I enjoyed it. Not as much as the original Adventure or Tamers but it was pretty good! Definetly has its flaws, especially towards the end but I liked it a lot.

The main three have pretty fun designs. Angoramons is probably my favourite.

And there's a few that show up as villain of the week. Including Piedmon and Lilithmon.

I don't think I've ever seen Lillithmon in the anime before. Might be worth watching just for that.

Digimon survive has a pretty good story, if you can get past the VN aspect of it and the barebones gameplay.

It's more adult than other Digimon media.

Lol just a fun bit of trivia lol.

Bandai had some digimon games on the Wonder Swan where you play as a new character called Ryo, which were technically canon to the Adventure but were so inconsequential that you didn't need to know anything about them.

Ryo ends up doing some dimension hopping in the games and ends up becoming a character in Tamers. But he's so tacked on that you wouldn't even know he was a crossover character unless somebody told you lol

Should be fairly cheap too now. Also always recommend Cyber Sleuth. It has two games and is a lot of fun! A bit janky in some places but nothing terrible.
