For me it's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles IV: Turtles in Time for the SNES.

I've played it and beat it so many times especially on the Cowabunga Collection but I never tire of playing it.

The soundtrack slaps too.

Hard mode is really easy and it's the only way you see the real ending.

Dark Souls 1 PvP. It's magical, man.

If it had a constant stream of new players to fight against of all calibers of skill, then I'd play it right now.
S / K / Y / N / E
Zelda 2
Mario Kart 64
Civ V
FTL
Risk of Rain

There are games that I like more, but those are pretty reliable time sinks for me any time. I can not be in the mood for TotK or LttP or Chrono Trigger, for instance.
Irregardless, for all intensive purposes, I could care less.

Remembering the EPICNESS one GameFAQs post at a time.
At one time it was Double Dragon II on the NES. I actually got really good at it. I wish I could think of a newer game, but most times when I beat a game I am just done with it, even if I wholly enjoyed it. Maybe that's because I focus mostly on rpgs now and new game plus modes aren't enticing enough to bother with.

DS1 PVP inhabits the same niche as Melee, wherein multiplayer is absolutely a feature, but one that was barely tested and ruled by glitches and exploits. But since they're so useful the meta is warped around it.

Which is to say, it's rad.

Skies of Arcadia: Legends

I've done at least a dozen 100% playthroughs. Only reason it's been a couple years since I last played it is because I gave my GameCube to my niece and nephew. Maybe I should get it back just for a bit to have another go.

A remake or a sequel are the only games I would buy a new console for. If Nintendo released a brand new console and the only game that would ever be available for it would be Skies of Arcadia 2, I would fucking preorder it. Love that game so much.

I love a lot of games but literally cant think of a single one that I could replay endlessly. Even roguelikes, like binding of Isaac rebirth is one of my most played games on steam at 740 hrs but I still get bored of the gameplay loop after a while and only come back for next content

Maybe its the ADHD. need some kind of goal to work towards even if its something dumb like achievements or getting a certain armor set. even if I find the gameplay fun

Dark Cloud 2
It's fun and has a great style

Champions: Return to Arms
Basic hack and slash. I play this once a year when a friend comes to visit. We can easily beat the game in a few days

Saints Row 2
Best game in the series, if not the genre. I love the zaniness, plus the harsh realities of gang life, plus being able to just fuck around and do whatever I want. My only critique is it could use a better soundtrack, but that's nitpicking
Bosses are immune to the eat command so it won't be possible to end the final boss fight of the game by eating it.

Ninja Gaiden 2 (NES)
A lot of fun to run through. Have beat it without dying a few times.

Castlevania SotN
I love getting the crissaegrim as early as possible and going nuts with it.

It's a Sega game.

But agree I love it too.

That Final Theme still brings a tear to my eye.

Bought the mgs remaster series at christmas and was amazed how easily i spent a week beating mgs1 3 times. Its a great game.

I probably beat it 10 times on ps1, another couple times on the ps classic, and 3 times recently. Still a thrill to play.

Not in my case.

But it tends to be a single player game. >_>

Honestly was a positive influence on my life. Always liked scifi but Shepards story opened my world view like I never expected. Incredible world building and cast.
While my older brother preferred Star Trek next generation (picard the best!)

I can only pray the next gen ME will be good. I don't want a "Andromeda 2" >_<

My first thought was definitely Tales of Symphonia. When I first played it, I played through the whole game about a dozen times in a row and never got tired of it. (This was a 2000s-era full-length JRPG, mind you.) Then, when I got the Steam version, I played through that half a dozen times in a row for achievements. (Though to be fair, I did skip most of the repeat scenes past the first playthrough.) And of course, I still replay it fairly regularly. In fact, I think I'm about due for another replay soon~
