I can't find a reasonably priced copy of Pokemon Platinum. Would Diamond be OK?

Diamond is a bad game. Platinum is better in every way.

I remember having Pokemon Diamond back in the day and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I highly recommend it

Dialga is also one of my favorite Legendary Pokemons. So at least you'll get access to it, even though Dialga is in Pokemon Platinum as well
