Well I beat the
other
final boss on the path going up. I noticed there are two of them in that stage but I never saw the first one again. It also felt much harder than the default path going down. Not sure if the alternate path will have only just one extra stage once it's added or two so that both ways through the game have four. It's really nice that it's in the game at all. This doesn't just feel like Hades II but Hades 2.5. Also did one Chaos Trial but haven't bothered with the difficulty modifiers yet. I'm probably gonna stop playing soon to wait for the next update to the Early Access.
