I reckon it and 3 will shadow drop at one of this year's remaining Directs, with a twin-pack physical release a few months down the line (AKA the Pikmin 1+2 model), but I don't think they'll be as spruced up as the first Prime game was, and will be closer to being straight ports.

Why would they put in the time and effort to make something new when they can half-ass a remaster/make and it still sells like nuts?

It makes sense. They're focusing on the console, but can't say anything yet, so their release schedule is filled with low-effort stuff to fill the time.

Probably so and that's for the best. If the Switch successor is going to release next year they need to make sure they have games ready release for it.

I haven't wanted anything so bad for so long since the Stingray bike was rereleased when I was a kid.
