At least Jet kinda tried to redeem himself later by trying the help Aang find Appa and fighting against the Dai Li even if what he did in Season 1 was wrong, Hama was actively kidnapping innocent people with her Bloodbending and was doing bad shit for a long time since her escape.

Nah. We learn the lesson that it's Fire Nation nobles who are responsible for the wars catastrophes. Not innocent civilians like the ones endangered by Hama and Jet. We learn this once with Sokka and Jet and once again with Aang enrolling in the Fire Nation school.

Hama was abused absolutely. But she decided after she was free, well after, that innocent people had to be punished for retribution.

It's revenge, not justice.
