Swollen taste buds hurt like a mf'er

I wish I had Wolverines healing factor so I could just cut off my tongue and be done with this.

If you could heal like him, wouldn't the pain heal away so you wouldn't need to cut your tongue?

I don't get them often, but I typically just snip it off with a pair of nail clippers. It bleeds for a few seconds but the discomfort is gone. Otherwise it remains swollen and sore for a few days. Mostly because I can't just ignore it. I keep fiddling with it as long as it is there. That keeps it irritated. A quick snip takes care of them. I just get the one that's swollen and irritated.

Omg that feels so much better. It bled like hell, but man. Thanks for the tip.
