My VCR xbox one was still running fine at about 8.5 years, original power brick. It was even placed in a poor location with only 2 inches of clearance for side vents, closed back, and top... in a hot and dusty house.
One might consider that electronic device abuse.
And no, it wasn't a "use it for an hour" queen, it endured countless 5-20 hour or even longer sessions running.
