I remember doing this in first grade because it was my first time peeing in the open with my peers. In kindergarten the bathrooms had just been little rooms with a single kid-size toilet or urinal. When I did go to public restrooms it was with my dad and I didn't really look at how adult men were peeing. It had never occurred to me to do anything but pull my pants to my ankles when I peed.

I still remember EVERYONE laughing at me the moment I did it. I had never been so embarrassed before that. Of course I never did it again but I still feel a tinge of shame when I think of it.

I was about to post this almost word for word. Was my most embarrassing childhood memory for years.
