This was one of the first games I ever played, and it's always seemed really daunting.

I remember one random day in high school I got in the zone and got really far on the NES version, which isn't easier as far as i know, but I have so many memories of playing the DOS version on an IBM 386.

Figuring this shit out is a lot of fun. Even getting just a little further feels very rewarding.

This game was awesome for letting you explore in any direction, and not just being a left-to-right kind of game. Every screen feels like a new mini-level. The deaths are bloody and don't fuck around. I always thought the deaths were awesome, plus you have infinite lives, so it never feels that bad.

Tomb Raider obviously takes a lot of inspiration from this game. If you can appreciate the original Tomb Raider then I think you'd like the DOS Prince of Persia. Pitfall!, A Boy and His Blob, Another World, Black Thorne (SNES), Tomb Raider, are all kind of similar games.

Also the 1 hour time limit was always like "o so ill never beat the game." seemed impossible. There's a savefile, basically a savestate that will only work at the start of the level, so im sure beating the game is very do-able.

But do you have the mental fortitude?

Anyone else like this game?

It says right here in Matthew 16:4 "Jesus doth not need a giant Mecha."
