Can't believe how good it is and the soundtrack is done by kevin penkin nonetheless. I do hope they can finish the whole story this time around

I've heard some people enjoy specific parts of the old one more, but the new one seems to get a fair bit of praise.

At the very least, it is not like the new Hunter x Hunter was (which rushed through everything super fast until York, and until York basically had only like 3 background musics they ever used).

I am the Hunter of Topics. My post never fails to kill its prey.

I never watched the original, but I've been enjoying this reboot version so far, and I can definitely see why Holo was such a popular waifu back in the day.

Sorta both. First few minutes of the first episode they show Holo and her child, and holo is telling her about she met her dad.

The music was my favorite part of the original series.

I don't know who the fuck this new guy is or why I should be impressed at his name but it's depressing that they gutted my favorite part of the original adaptation.

Been awhile since I saw the OG version. Maybe I'll watch when it's all over.

Oh nice so it basically confirms it'll do the whole thing?
It possible, but we'll see, I really enjoyed the original, and was sad when it ended.

I'd say watch the reboot that's currently airing, especially considering that it might fully adapt the source material while the original is left incomplete. There's a decent chance that this reboot could make the original completely obsolete, just like the 2019 Fruits Basket reboot did to the original from 2001.

the remake is good but also feels like a show that will bring back old fans and attract new ones.

I'd compare it to brotherhood. The first season should end where the first series ended so if you like the orginal more if would probolly be safe to watch that and then continue one with the remake (when it gets past where the first books ended.)
RIP CE. This decision to close social boards will be the end of Gamefaqs.

I'm going to disagree with this. The original anime adapted volumes 1-3 and volume 5 of the source material, skipping volume 4 along the way. This reboot will almost certainly include volume 4, and based on what I've heard from source readers, volume 4 has some very important stuff that's necessary for the later parts of the story (which they didn't know at the time when the original anime skipped it). Plus, there are apparently already some differences in the adaptations, where this reboot is sticking closer to the source material. As a result, watching the original and then trying to jump into the reboot at that point in the story will most likely cause a lot of inconsistencies, and the lack of volume 4 will be a big problem later on.

I hate the boring generic art style they went with in the remake. Part of the reason I enjoy shoujo is because of the art style.
