So the Trash Theory youtube channel released a more indepth follow up to their How Nu Metal Became Nu Metal video.

It's a bit long, but the music clips keep it moving. He brought up some things I didn't know about, like Public Enemy sampling Slayer, and some things I forgot about, like the Judgement Night soundtrack, which was pure genre busting fire at the time.

I blame Carson Daly, he and TRL really blurred the lines between pop and nu metal. Like, there's no reason Korn and Britney Spears should be on the same countdown but they absolutely were
