My post was in pushback to those who are implying the main cause of homelessness is mental issues, which leads them to think that having more affordable homes won't fix the issue.
The bulk of homelessness that's
seen
are those living on the streets with mental issues, but homeless impacts so much more people than that. And for those people, housing is the solution by far. Housing of all kind. Public subsidized housing, market rate housing which helps reduce housing costs, etc.
