My last apt complex was fairly pricey but not too crazy and in the single bedroom area that I lived in there was pretty constantly an expectation of being able to hear partying going on during the weekend in the complex.
Current complex is legitimately pricey and the lack of hearing the partying is honestly the biggest difference with the trade-up in price.
we are paying pretty below market rate for our neighborhood (in nyc)
expecting to hear neighbors is just kind of a given imo but this guy is new to nyc
