He wants to keep egging it on because he KNOWS he won't get jail time but he KNOWS he can use that "threat" to rile up his idiot base who think he is being persecuted and that he could end up in jail.I think it's win win for him. On one hand he can do whatever he wants. On the other he will go to jail and re-energize his base which are faltering slightly.
