I don't really know how this is a hot take, tbh. Like, they're funny, it's a parody type band, in many cases - but, they were never really a "amazing band" tbh

I dunno if I'll really have many hot takes at this point, cuz like, old school pop shit has def fallen off at this point. shit like The Beatles and all the 80s "hair" shit isn't revered to the same extent now.

Not related to the music per se but Weezer shitposting is so painfully unfunny.

The Smile (Radiohead side project thing) kinda suck. It's like the worst parts of Radiohead. Radiohead with no quality control.

Meat Loaf's Bat Out of Hell and Bat Out of Hell II are some of the best albums ever made.

Weezer is definitely a band that I appreciate more now that I'm older, but they're nothing special, still. It's just, I didn't really get a lot of what they were doing back when I was 16.

You absolutely can, what? Like, maybe not Seether, Staind, or Shinedown, but Papa Roach and Halestorm definitely were very dfifferent sounding at one point, if not maybe later.

Nickelback is a group of competent -- if not good -- musicians who make inoffensive if boring radio rock singles.

The Beatles suck. Nirvana's only good record is Bleach and even that isn't great.
