I was wondering what people did at home before radio, TV, the internet, even books. I get that most people were some sort of farmer so that kept them busy during the day, but after the sun goes down?

Those farmers generally got up at/before sunrise, so they likely went to bed soon after the sun set

Damn i didn't know my people existed before the internet

i need to get out of neetdom though for sure. i'm so fucking scared of public areas nowdays. idk what point in my life caused me this anxiety. i haven't had many traumatic events really outside of early childhood

i wonder if it was that head injury that caused it? when i fell down a playground and the world was spinning for a bit

It really depends on how specific you want to get with the term. If you truly just mean NEET without any further assumptions on their life, childless trophy spouses would count. The term could probably even accurately describe a significant portion of all royalty and nobility in the past.
