I mean, the kinds of people who celebrate that day for that reason are just real pieces of shit whose main goal in life is just to actively make the world worse for everyone. It's not that hard to understand their deal.

But the other, better reason to celebrate that day is because a bunch of Californian high school students in the early '70s would meet at 4:20 PM to smoke pot, and the number "420" was associated with cannabis in general as a result.

The last three years I have gotten donuts for the office for this holiday. Last year I put a pic of Snoop. I think the year before too. This year I went with James Franco and Seth Rogen. I picked them up today since the office is closed tomorrow. Next year I'll do them on Monday since the day is on a Sunday.

I'll probably watch that Superman cartoon where he thwarts Hitler's plot in Africa. Some of the depictions of the indigenous African peoples are considerably dated, but it's always surreal to see a cartoon which ends with Hitler contemplating the fact that he just lost to Superman.
