roughly since 03-04, was most active from 05 until i got axed in 2009 and left for a bit, mostly lurked since 2013 i guess.

Ive been on GameFAQs in at least some capacity since 2002 or 2003. CE I remember starting to browse/post on in late high school or early college years (so around 2008) and Ive been here since.

Ive always considered GameFAQs (and to a lesser extent CE specifically) to be my Internet home.

I only started coming to CE in like 2020 because all the other boards were dead. I have been on Gamefaqs since like 2000 though. Always avoided CE because it moved too fast.

The first argument I ever got in on CE was with someone who legitimately argued that gay people should be experimented on against their will so that future gay people might be "cured." Then a mod flat-out told me they couldn't delete their posts because it was a legitimate political opinion, and I should just add the user to ignore if I didn't like what they were saying. This would have been around 2001 or 2002, and even for that era I was pretty shocked.
Only two things can end a Republican's career - a dead girl or a live boy.

Im honestly not emotionally attached like others. I started coming here last year. Ive been on gamefaqs for 20 years and spent most of it on the main system boards talking about games. Also even 20 years ago when I started I was already in my late 20s. So I dont have memories of this place when I was a kid in school. The internet as we know it didnt exist when I was a kid so I dont have those strong attachments to my youth with it.

I only shifted over here last year because the site is dying and even the main system boards move so slow these days I wanted something with more activity.

Obviously that activity will be dying off as people get suspended because they cant help themselves.

I have already unironically felt this place was only a couple years from shutting down the boards completely and being just an archive for guides/walkthroughs. Its inevitable. It happened to me on IMDb.com with those message boards. I expect it here too.

I've been posting on this site for over 20 years, but I want to say that I only starting posting here about 3 or so years into my time here, so about 17ish years. Maybe a little more, maybe a little less.

I'll probably still dick around here even if it slows down to LUE levels, tbqh.
Irregardless, for all intensive purposes, I could care less.

I came back today to look at the drama after being made aware of it. Havent been on here as a regular since maybe 2018 but I still use the guides. I think I started going to CE in like 2010? I was an RIer before then.

I guess they want to finish the site off.

Been on this site since 2001, first started posting in '03. Found my way to CE in 2009 the latest. Those were the golden years. The arguments and general discourse were fun, we had CYOAs from assaultmuffin, I attended a CEmeetup in NYC a couple times (OP in real life versus on here is night and day when I met him lol). It was great.

It took me a long time to discover CE so probably only about 10 years. I didn't post much originally though.
Trying is the first step towards failure, so just dont give it a shot and you cant dissapoint.

My account is 20 years old but I lurked for a bit before registering.

I've been through this on a couple of other boards in the past. We'll try to fight against it and people will try to carry on the legacy elsewhere but ultimately it will fail. This is the end.
I guess I'm something of a ne'er do well.
