Console generations as we know it are basically over. It used to mean new consoles meant new exclusive games and a new library of stuff to play. They actually meant something. Now they are simply more powerful machines capable of playing some games here and there at a higher resolution/framerate and with faster loading.
It is the same library of games. It's basically just become a weaker PC.
Yup. Between that, everything going digital, the physical copies of games requiring large day 1 patches and installing, and the storage on consoles being far too small for the average sized game these days. Few months ago I said the hell with it and built a nice gaming pc. Been going well so far. Saw no reason to move to the ps5 gen.
