This. As someone who has experienced sexual assault, sexual harassment, sexism, racism, etc it would be an easy excuse to hate others. I don't because there's more good people out there than bad. Sexism, racism, and bigotry are never justified.Some people experience pain and want to help keep others from the same suffering.
