She was like THE progressive celebrity, then turned a couple of dumb Twitter posts she made into a whole new right wing personality. What the hell did she have to gain?
Personal trauma combined with good ol fashion sexism. She got a lot of positive traction when she went through her "I just have concerns" phase which let her go more and more mask off as time goes on
