Leave it. I don't need 20 that badly.
pocket it, obviouslywhys that obv
Are y'all sanitizing all the cash you come into contact with?
damn that poll is overwhelming
ive got a really low opinion of you guys but i didnt realize there was that big a discrepancy between my and ur ethics
I let someone know it is there, because I dont trust touching something I found on the bathroom floor of a fast food restaurantIt doesn't really matter where you find it, physically money is almost always the most unsanitary thing you can find that isn't just straight up poop.
Pocket it unless there is someone obvious it belongs tothat i consider myself more ethical than most of the board
What's that supposed to mean?
that i consider myself more ethical than most of the board
your shit stinks more than normal I beti never said i was a saint
Are y'all sanitizing all the cash you come into contact with?TCs stipulation is it was found in the bathroom.... not somewhere less questionable.

im like borderline shocked its such a blowout
Nah, $20 can be a lot to some people and someone who lost it in a bathroom or in a store like that might hope that someone would have turned it in to the staff. It's shitty to just pocket it like that.
Outside on the ground randomly? Sure. But not in a store.
Which isn't far outside of the realm of possibility. I've definitely lost stuff in public and knew where I likely did it and returned for it.
And I don't know why you would think the employee would give it to Starbucks. At the end of the day they would just pocket it.
It's not so much money that someone is likely to come looking for itsure it is
This is why you are so awesome.https://i.imgur.com/W0PxbmH.jpeg

i worked 6 years of retail, its not uncommon for people to come looking. 20 dollars is a lot of money
it sure is
if i notice if i lost a 20, then there sure as heck are other people who would
i worked 6 years of retail, its not uncommon for people to come looking. 20 dollars is a lot of money
plus its not urs (the general you, re the prompt)
ive also worked 6 years in retail including asset protectionwasnt that way at any of the three places i worked at
99% of the time that money goes into the till
I have worked retail for 18 years. I've seen this happen more times then I can count and I can think of the times we've returned someone's money on one hand and the amount was always over $100. At my last job my boss became so callous if someone found anything she would laugh and say "well I guess it's ours now." Then she would use it as her own petty cash.oh that makes it ok
Every job I ever worked always had a clause if you didn't put it in the register, you could be firednever heard of this. must be a regional thing
