I've been in two states now that have banned plastic bags in the state.

However, I live on base and they still offer plastic bags at stores on base.
The name is wackyteen for a reason. Never doubt.

Not such shopping bags you used mostly only once for a few cents. These are gone for some years already. I think they are even illegal here now, not sure if EU law or more regional.

So, if you want a bag in from a store, it will be a more expensive and big and durable one.

For some fruits and vegetables... there are still some plastic bags, but I don't know how they are special.

Can't inconvenience big business, just the little guy.

Really though some stuff couldn't be transported reliably without plastic. Or it would spoil (insanely) fast outside of plastic.

The stores around here are pretty much exclusively plastic

Stores in the mall are still able to provide bags for some reason but Target, Walmart, grocery stores, etc. don't have them.

Some have you pay for the plastic bags but honestly, non plastic bags are just plain better. I hate even I forget mine in the car

EU I think. Free plastic bags have been banned in Portugal for years now. The only free plastic bags that still exist are the ones to put fruit and vegetables in.

When the law was first implemented I sure grumbled about it (I used to use the grocery bags as my trash can bags, now I buy actual trash bags), but you get used to it and it's a good habit to bring a bag along when shopping.

The supermarket I worked at in NJ banned plastic bags while I was working there, but now that I moved to Florida there's plastic bags again.
