He was so good in Freaks and Geeks - definitely the most underrated player in the ensemble.

great actor. The Hendrix quip was shocking to me, as a 21st century discoverer. I didnt know he died like that, nor did I believe it was possible to blame Hendrix because many celebrities are exploited.

It almost comes out, like the Flahertys character realizes his own ignorance, but cant help himself, like a typical parent who works too much, and their own neglect may cause offspring to act out.
You gotta remember, this show took place around the same time all those stars died. There's even an episode where a few characters mourn John Bonham dying earlier that day.

So this is all akin to everyone knowing how Prince or MJ died.

Damn time really gets away from me. I just rewatched Happy Gilmore the other day and I know its like 28 years old but still. He seemed so young and vibrant in it it was hard to believe he was 55 in it and it was so long ago already. 82 damn. Time really does fly.

Freaks and Geeks is near and dear to me. Its a crime it was only 1 year but maybe thats why it remains so perfect. RIP.
