They just re-released it to current consoles.
Nah they already ruined one game with that crap
They just re-released it to current consoles. They did? Are you sure? Last time I checked, the only modern platform that has it is Steam

Bump, because a good idea is a good idea.I think a reboot but ignore XS altogether if any sequels are made. I still kinda want a rerelease of the XS games. There are not bad but damn the first one takes forever to get going.
I'd also accept Xenogears because it should be completed sometime.

What is it about Cross that people don't like? It's been mentioned in previous topics about CC, but the game just has too many characters with a majority of them having very little impact on the game and can't be fully fleshed out. There's only maybe like 10 characters who are really important to the overall story.

The story itself is kind of a mess, especially near the end, and right before the final boss when you're given a giant lore dump, and then some more after getting the true ending. I've heard that it's because they were running out of time during development and still had more they wanted to include, but I never looked into seeing how true that is.
And many people seem to be angry thatalmost all of the main cast from Chrono Trigger got killed off between games (and Robo gets eliminated in a late-game boss fight in Cross).
I love Chrono Cross, though, and I still intend to buy it for my Switch when it has a good sale on the eShop. The OST is incredible and I bought it when the game first released on the PlayStation.

am I the only one that likes the large roster in CC? sure, only a handful of them were of really any significance to the story, but you're telling me that you don't want to be able to play as a giant mushroom? a skeleton clown? a sword fighting turnip???
Yes. Youre the only one. It was terrible game design.
Yet nobody complains about Suikoden.
Ive never played Suikoden so I cant comment on that.
