Unathorized pelvic exams are still legal in many states on female patients under anesthesia, some women go in for surgery and then have as many as 12 or even 15 medical students each practice pelvic exams on one woman without consent in some case

Hey, everyone, what's going on in this topic? Oh.
It's pretty ridiculous the amount of things we need to write down to outlaw.

These things should be obvious, but nope.
lolAmerica

I can understand how this is still a thing in red states (in a disappointed and disgusted way.) But wtf is up with those three states in New England?

This seems to be a thing with teaching hospitals for medical students to get practice performing pelvic exams, which is very invasive.

Its also a problem in Canada and who knows where else, I didnt know this was such a widespread thing myself until I stumbled across some news articles

There are women who go in for routine surgery on tonsils or whatever, and then they wake up with vaginal tearing or bleeding and dont know what happened, then they get railroaded and mistreated for complaining.

Turns out they had a dozen medical students putting their hand inside her while she was under anesthesia

Ive seen pelvic exams performed, and personally believe this is unconscionable that hospitals still allow this to happen on unconscious patients without knowledge or consent.

Hopefully raising awareness will do some good, talk to your friends and be careful what papers you sign at the hospital too if you live in one of these areas, especially if you have to be treated at a teaching hospital

Even the banned states, maybe they have some fine print on the forms you may not be aware what youre signing up for

It is impossible to live in the past, difficult to live in the present, and a waste to live in the future.
(He/Him).
Last time I went under I had to sign a form that basically said "if we kill you, tough shit"

Pelvic exam is like not even registering on my scale here.
It says right here in Matthew 16:4 "Jesus doth not need a giant Mecha."
