The Cuban Missile Crisis was averted because John F Kennedy talked to the leader of the Soviet Union and agreed to take the nuclear missiles in Turkey down if Russia did the same for their missiles in Cuba. If this happened today we'd most likely have been vaporized already.Sounds like an argument for keeping trump out of the Oval Office.
