What? No, just.. no. Robert Mitchum is legitimately terrifying in that movie and you just cant capture it again.

not to mention the cool b&w and german expressionism

we'll probably get some awful milky digital sheen with eric bana monologuing about love and hate in color. with 'realistic' sets and stuff.
