The actual story was a news report from a Nascar race where the sore loser chuds in the crowd started chanting "Fuck Joe Biden", because God forbid they go 5 minutes without making something political.
The news reporter tried to cover by saying that that they were actually chanting "Let's go, Brandon." because there was a driver named Brandon in the race.
So of course the chuds turn "Let's go Brandon" into a slogan, and got very cheeky and gloaty about it for some reason, despite the left's reaction essentially being a collective "why not just say 'fuck Joe Biden?'"
Then Dark Brandon (glowy-eyed Biden) appeared and was attached to Biden's winning political moves, like infrastructure and lowering insulin costs, and Biden has embraced it, thus taking all the teeth out of it for chuds.
That's fantastic and honestly how you beat those stupid memes, you turn it around and make it yours. They still seethe about it to this day.
