KISS has some fun songs and they get hated too much. They're far from the greatest band ever, but they have a few cool songs in a turn off your brain way. It's dumb fun like fast food for your ears.
The thing about Kiss is, with their image and reputation, one might assume they are some edgy hard rock/metal act, then you listen to them and are disappointed to hear catchy pop rock. Not there is any thing wrong with pop rock.
Never got the complaint of "all AC/DC songs sound the same". What do you want, a deep political song? Jazz odyssey?
They do all sound the same. Once again not necessarily a bad thing. Brian Johnson is great, but it is such a shame that Bon Scott had to die.
