HSI's area of responsibility includes smuggling, in this case possibly people, guns and drugs. They have a kind of "X-files" focus, taking cases that may not fit the more traditional law enforcement focus that the FBI, ATF, DEA or CBP have.You would think that would already be covered by the FBI, DEA, and ATF just for this case alone, do we really need 4 government agencies getting in a pissing match over who has jurisdiction?
