i only answer calls if im expecting an interview/job offer

Right now I'll answer because I'm on a job hunt. Generally no I leave it to voicemail.
Trying is the first step towards failure, so just dont give it a shot and you cant dissapoint.

Nope. If it's an actual call and not a scammer or spam, they'll leave a voice mail.

Unknown numbers get blocked or go straight to voicemail. Either way, its not getting answered.

Only if it's a local area code. I moved here almost 10 years ago, but never changed my phone number. So if a call has a local area code, it almost always is important. And it's pretty rare I even get a call from a local number anyway. Scam calls either have my original area code or a random area code.

Yeah. I'll answer if my phone doesn't say "Scam Likely". Usually it's just a wrong number. Sometimes it something annoying, but then I just block the number and move on.

Sometimes I'll answer it if it's local, or somewhat local. Logic being that you never know if something happened to somebody you know and you're being used as a contact. Highly doubtful though so that's why I don't necessarily always pick up.

My move (because I'm a peach and don't like to have to awkwardly say "no thanks" to solicitors) is to just say "hello? ...hellooo?" a couple of times after I realize who it is, as if I can't hear, then hang up and block them lmfao.

I don't even answer the phone if it's someone I know. My phone is on silent 100% of the time so I miss like 99.99% of the calls I get. They can text me
