Elf druid is my favorite class from the core rulebook.

I tried druid once and I hated it.
I have never had a desire to play a druid. Which I think comes from the fact that if people had DnD classes in real life I would 100%, unequivocally be a druid.

I mean, I've never played a druid. DMed for a couple, and played alongside one, but I'm more a Cleric or Wizard player usually.

I really should play a Druid at some point though...

They are fun with the wild shape ability.

They are Hella fun. Don't let the haters hate.

I've only played in one D&D campaign (generally prefer other systems), but I played a land druid, and it was quite underwhelming. The other subclasses might be more interesting though.

Land Druid feels like a Druid trying to be a different sort of caster, but less effective.

Not a fan of wild shape in practice.

So I usually end up with cleric.
Planning is the process of replacing chance with error.

Yeah that's exactly what it seemed like. It wasn't bad by any means, but not great.

I wouldnt know. I generally only play martial classes as thats what appeals to me. Playing as a Paladin is the deepest into magic/arcane focus that Ive ever tried.

The Druid in my current campaign has been a bear more often then he's been in his base, dwarf, form.

I'm currently playing a Dwarven druid in one of the games I'm in. It's fine. Frankly I prefer being a Barbarian.
Have you seen the Yellow Sign?

Haven't played a 5e druid (in fact, I think it's the one class nobody in my group has played yet) but in 3.5 I loved playing a master of many forms and abusing the fuck out of as many obscure monsters as I could shift into. Wild Shape is so much more restricted than it used to be.

The most broken ass character I ever played was a 3.5 Druid. The amount shit you could buff you animal companion with was just crazy OP.
