Back to back 40/100s from Gamespot.fandom and Eurogamer ooouch.

Real shame because Jodie Comer and David Harbour are great performers and they're headlining this thing in all the promotional videos, moreso than the actual gameplay.

When was the last good game Alone in the Dark had? It seems like only the first one was considered good.

The New Nightmare. The first 4 games are great.

The last games were crap so even at 65, it still sounds better than that abomination that is Illumination. What a piece of crap that was and so was the reboot.

most of what ive read of reviews is journos that are struggling with something that plays like an actual survival horror game. it's got mostly positive reviews on steam atm

Yeah it overall seems fine. It still sounds like the best Alone in the Dark in years.

If people actually want AA games this is what most of them are like. It does seem like the Steam audience is more accepting of this kinda stuff compared to journos and console gamers.
