Maybe when it drops in price and Capcom pushes out a patch to the fix the framerate issues.

I'm fine with waiting until the performance gets patched.

If I can run it on my pc, sure

I suppose I could just get the ps4 version tho
PS5, Series X/S, and PC only. :/

[ If DD2 had an 8th-gen release, I would have bought an XBox One X just for this game. ]

Yes but ill just play my brother's copy of it and not buy it myself
I'm a Taurus. Currently playing: Justin Wack and the Big Time Hack (PC) & DMC3:SE Ubisoft Port (PC)

Super excited.

Only complaints I see in reviews is that it doesn't hold your hand enough or it is too hard. Other than performance stuff that will just get patched.

Yes, Arisen.
From everything I have seen it looks like more of the same, and that to me is a positive. Sure I hoped for the ceiling but I'll take "more of the same" because I personally love what was delivered before and thought the battle system was simply awesome and a load of fun. This looks like more of that.

So yeah I'm excited but I'm still not going to play for a year or two until I know any DLC or expansion is out. I do this with all games like this, Dragon Age, Witcher, Elder Scrolls and so on.

That is a massive positive for me because I just recently got around to playing the first and loved it. But thought meh I'll just wait for the new one.

Too busy still playing FF7 rebirth, but I am checking it out though.

To be honest, I am actually a bit more interested in rise of the ronin.

Preloading as we speak.
I can't play it cause I only have a Switch
My maid will hear about this.
from videos I've seen, the gameplay looks pretty repetitive.

maybe it's one of those games you have to play for yourself.

I'll probably wait for a sale, if at all.

Chez moi, il fait beau.
It looks super fun, but I was hoping for a demo.

Will probably get once the price drops a bit.
I want you to grab your nuts. Grab your balls. I want you to take a handful, and just grab your nuts real quick. Swivel 'em around in a circular motion.

I'm gonna climb me a giant, topless lady/bird/cat!
I'm looking forward to playing it, but not mega excited. I won't be dropping anything else I'm working on right now to hop on it.

I'll probably get to it in a couple months or so.
Isn't playable on Steam Deck apparently, so I don't care what's up with it.
Take me down from the ridge where the summer ends
And watch the city spread out just like a jet's flame
I'm hyped af. I spent all week climbing all over people bigger than me in anticipation
I don't believe in belts. There should be no ranking system for toughness.
The 1st one was one of my favorite games of that era and it was one of the games I most wanted to have a sequel, so yeah I'm pretty excited. Won't be a day 1 buy though since I'm still going through FF7 Rebirth, and if the performance issues are as bad as some people say and they aren't fixed by the time I'm done, I'll have Persona 3 Reload to turn to while I wait for it to be fixed.
Yes, because it's the sequel to one of my favorite games ever.

No, because it looks like it's an unoptimized tire fire.
Yeah but too much to play already and want to save money to treat gf like a queen this weekend
Common sense says it may not taste good, but it'll make a turd.
Absolutely. Get the fuck out of here with that "only" bullshit. Capcom made this game for the fans of the first one and I thank them for that.

The focus is on exploration and fun combat with no handholding. Exactly what I wanted. If you love Dragon's Dogma you will love this game. If you didn't, this won't change your mind because Capcom didn't bow down to the lowest common denominator.

And finally, the "performance issues" are greatly exaggerated as usual. The game looks and plays just fine. I've heard more than one person who is a "60 fps required" say that the frame rate is only an annoyance in a few situations in towns. Out in the world it's a complete non-issue. Unless you insist on being anal about it.

Fuck yeah I am. Just gotta finish FF7 Rebirth first.
Show me the Champion of Liiiiight,
I'll show you the Herald of Darkness!
Looks like it'll be another fun game to play eventually when it's extremely cheap or free with dlc included like DD1 was
Definitely, I fell in love with the first game and it's been a long time coming.

June 10, 2018. The day Dante returned to us. Do what you want, just don't expect to get paid.
Preloaded over night. Its ready to go. Sucks that I cant play until tomorrow night, but Ill get some good playtime in this weekend.

Still trying to figure out what class to start with. I made 3 Arisens and 3 Pawns to choose from. Leaning male warrior and female archer, I think.
Nah. The first game was trash and any game that takes 20+ hours to get good isnt worth it for me. Ill never understand the hype for the first game and this one seems more of the same with the same slow gameplay, annoying pawns, performance issues, and too many battles as you try to explore that can get old after a bit.

I saw a video of someone with a 4080 on PC that was able to get 60 fps on average with some dips to 45 in some areas playing at 1440p. Thats not good optimization for a card that beefy and for a game thats not some graphical power house.
Conducting Horsemen Business
Yes, but I gotta finish out my RPG backlog first.

At least LAD8, if not also Octopath 2 and Triangle Wars.
Party leader, passive-aggressive doormat, pasta eater extraordinaire!
Im still not convinced on this. I never played the first one though.

PS4 looks great
It runs on my borderline toaster laptop. A bit hiccupy here and there, but mostly fine.
The first one was great, so yes.

Yeesh getting a lot of negative reviews for performance which will get fixed but more importantly you can't apparently delete your character and start a new one and they charge to make a new one or change their appearance

You also get a penalty for reloading to save scum. Something about less health. Dev is kind of a dick tbh

The item to change your appearance is available in game as well, you don't need to buy the microtransaction one.
I think not being able to make a new save or delete your preexisting one is stupid. I'm guessing it's stored server-side and has something to do with the pawns? Still, seems like a thing that could be easily remedied.

Tbh seems to me like the performance issues are an RE Engine thing. Could be wrong but this is the only open world game built on it, right? And DD isn't really known to be a polished game. I'm still on the fence whether I should get it now or on sale. It looks like a good game despite the quirks. I get the complaints about the microtransactions but that's something I'd never engage with anyway.

If you are unsure if you'd like it, you could always buy Dragon's Dogma Dark Arisen, it's graphics are dated but it still plays great.
