I had some cheap logitech speakers with a subwoofer. They've started emitting a buzzing noise all the time for some reason. I tried moving the cables away from other power cables, but that didn't help. Any time I would touch the 3.5mm connector on the computer, the subwoofer would buzz loudly. I used to be able to move the PC or jiggle/turn the connector to get it to stop, but not any more.

So I ordered the Razer Leviathan V2 speakers, and holy crap... the sound quality is so much better. Also these speakers are LOUD. I used to just keep the volume on the PC at 100, but now I think I'll have to keep it around 20 - 40, depending on what I'm doing. It's pretty nice.

Seems like any time I get better speakers or headphones, I always have the urge to go back and listen to my favorite songs and just listen to the difference.

good speakers are a game changer for sure. my PC is connected to a 5.1 system that uses two Klipsch tower speakers in the front, it's so nice.
I hope something good happens to you today

I bought some studio monitors and an audio interface for my computer last year.

Huge upgrade. Wish I had done it sooner.
Does the name Pavlov ring a bell?
Everyone who says they don't really care about sound quality just hasn't met the right speakers yet.

About time.

I guess I'm gonna have to decide on a surround sound system for the TV in my bedroom in the near future.

A 5.1 surround system for my living room was one of my best entertainment investments tbh

really enhances gameplay in a big way

Go for a sound bar.

Since I upgraded my computer I have only been using my monitors speakers. I have a receiver and a couple of decent tower speakers that I used on my last PC but I am not sure how to make them work with this mobo.

I don't know much about audio, but I've been using this software called FXSound for the past 20 years (called DFX Audio Enhancer back then). Simply having it install and turned on improved my audio. I guess it's just an equalizer app, but it makes a noticeable difference in quality. It used to be software where the free version was gimped (such as only being able to go up to 5 out of 10 on the levels like bass or treble), but now the whole product is completely free.

I've been using Cyber Acoustics 2.1 speakers for my PC for 15 years, and finally had my first set crap out on me last year (very loud static if I so much as sneeze on the cables for a while but I can't remember if it finally died completely or if I got tired of that problem). I upgraded to a newer model, and I'm having issues with it. Every now and then, the bass goes completely out for a couple mins. That first set was maybe $30 from Office Depot/Max though. Can't believe they lasted 15 damn years. I'm thinking about getting fancier speakers though. I'm not an audiophile, but I do like higher quality audio.

Going from cheap crap to hearing music and other sounds with high quality audio is like going from watching TV on a old tube TV to watching 1080p+ TV. Huge difference.

This really isn't related to this topic but I just want to say it makes me angry how people say Apple air pods and other expensive, bad quality head/earphones like beats or other bad crap are good.

I use Sennheiser HD 650 headphones with an amp and DAC and music and other sounds sound like heaven. I was actually shocked how when I first heard music on that set up. It's less than a $500 set up that will last decades. Probably only gotta replace the ear pads every few years. I suggest those who never invested much in their audio set up of any kind whether it's on PC, phone or dedicated music player to do it. Do research on this stuff, it's life changing
