This is actually a nightmare story the more I think of it.As I parent, I can't imagine thinking I'll leave my young toddler alone in a crib for 10 days and it'll be ok. It's murder, first degree. Life in prison is a pointless sentence. Death by starvation is a weak punishment for this bad parent.
Was the house isolated? No one can hear the kid?
