For those who dont know
Being autistic is an intrinsic part of how our brain works, equating it with the negative side effects (some of which are the result of societal prejudice to begin with) is what people find offensive, and it's impossible to "cure" unless you completely erase a person. Which means treating a cure as possible or desirable harms autistic people by spreading the idea that our core existence is an external disease, and diverting resources that should be used to actually help autistic people. Trying to find a cure is a distraction from effort that could be made to help you with the parts that are harming you.The lobotomy was created to fix those considered mentally atypical. At least that era has passed. Be you, be kind, ignore those that judge.
I actually didn't focus enough while reading through it the first time, and it's actually more than that, .https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/a/forum/0/044dc493.jpg

I just get annoyed when neurotypical people say that shit because it comes with the connotation that they don't want me to be able to function in social situations or live without obsessive interests ruining my life/happiness.
