The first movie is 30 years old at this point and has three or four sequels that are, in all honestly, absolutely fucking
awful
. If they want to reboot it in a more modern setting for a new audience while distancing themselves from those sequels so they can give the franchise a shot in the arm, more power to them.
How old does a movie need to be before it's "okay" to reboot/remake it?
