I wonder why shes even so invested in denying that trans people were persecuted in Germany.
She doesn't want to acknowledge what people have been telling her for years, that she's become like the very villains she used to write about.
Acknowledging that trans people were persecuted in any way, shape, or form is a frightening step towards empathy that she refuses to take. Denial and revisionism are much safer avenues for her.
