I've got no idea what I'd do if I fasted. I get cranky as hell when I'm hungry so I'd probably be a prick. Do you usually eat a really big meal or have something special before fasting starts? So normally I have a bowl of Msli for breakfast. Since I'm fasting, I also had an extra vanilla yoghurt and some glasses of water. So more, but not a lot more
Do you not have water during the day? I thought that was permitted.nah they have to refrain from water as well the point as it's clear is both to discipline yourself and put yourself in the shoes of a poor soul who can't get food or water
What's the overall goal of fasting for Ramadan? To gain incredible speed.
What's the overall goal of fasting for Ramadan?Spiritual discipline. Developing empathy with people who are undergoing hardship.
Had a student today cry during lunch because he forgot he was fasting and took a bite of some sandwhichIf that happens, it's God himself intervening to feed you
Spiritual discipline. Developing empathy with people who are undergoing hardship.Pretty much this.
It's not just about the fasting. Muslims are also encouraged to increase charity giving and work on being more kind and understanding in their personal lives.
Do you read any juz?I had to Google this. The word Pakistanis use is Sipara
A lot of people do extra exercise during Ramadhan. When I was younger, one of my uncles used to spend an hour or two pumping weights before breaking his fastI got respect for folks who pull that off.
I myself am considering jogging or something on the days where I work from home
LMFAO, imagine actually buying into this made up bull shit..Shhhh grown ups are talking
nah they have to refrain from water as well the point as it's clear is both to discipline yourself and put yourself in the shoes of a poor soul who can't get food or waterisn't that super unhealthy >_>
isn't that super unhealthy >_>It takes some getting used to. The first week of Ramadan last year, I was salivating like crazy. Definitely up your water and limit the sugary drinks during the break. Get a good amount right before sunrise.
LMFAO, imagine actually buying into this made up bull shit..Er, what are you calling made up?
isn't that super unhealthy >_>
During the daylight hours of Ramadan fasting, practising Muslims are undoubtedly dehydrating, but it is not clear whether they are chronically hypohydrated during the month of Ramadan. No detrimental effects on health have as yet been directly attributed to negative water balance at the levels that may be produced during Ramadan.
I wonder what majority Muslim countries are like during Ramadan. Obviously restaurants are closed but I'm curious as to what else shuts down. Also cafes. In general Business opening times change, eg Morning to noon, then closed until after futoor (sunset)
So I've noticed I get cold a lot while fastingThis happens to me too during my intermittent fasting. My feet in particular, feels like they are freezing if I make it to 30ish hours.
How weird would it be if I were to take a blanket to work and wear it there >_>
