It really all depends on what type of person you are, and what you're looking for in a vacation.
Some just want to "shut down" for a few days. Not worry about who's cooking dinner, who's doing laundry, who's going to cover their work.
Other's look for adventures and thrills.
Counter point to your OP, some people don't want to have that feeling of needing "a vacation after their vacation" becasue their actual vacation was spend on their feet or at the mercy of the clock because events and excursions were at certain times.
It takes zero effort to be a good person.
