Gameplay's fun. Story leaves much to be desired.
I don't hold grudges. Let's vehemently argue today and casually have a beer together tomorrow.

The story in Tekken games is always fucking mental, haha. Just go with it.

I love the game. Got the Plat, and I'm looking forward to Eddy coming out.

Of the big 3 (SF6, MK1, and T8), I've had the most fun with Tekken.

I still find SF6 much more fun because people are still discovering different techs to use in this game. Tekken 8 is still pretty solid though and it's one of the few fighters my wife can actually follow along and enjoys watching. The slow mo stuff just adds to the excitement, it's no wonder Tekken 7 tournaments did so well in terms of viewership numbers alone. The story in Tekken 8 was bleh, but at least there was enough crazy shit in it to keep my interest. Mortal Kombat will always be, imo, the fighting game with the best story mode...I just wish it was funner to play.
DI MOLTO!
Yes it's very fun
Don't like it? Don't watch it. It's that simple

I miss the more grounded storytelling of earlier games. Tekken 1 was a simple revenge story. Tekken 2 was the same, but in reverse with the "hero" and villain switching roles. Tekken 3 was about the son of the original protagonist seeking to avenge his mom, only to discover his granddad's true colors. Tekken 4 was a 3-way struggle for dominance between each of these characters. Tekken 5 is when the characters started becoming parodies with no real purpose, and the rest is history.

I still remember when Mortal Kombat was considered a joke and Capcom vs, DOA, Soulcalibur, Virtual Fighter were still releasing entries.
