2/5 NL about $750 effective. New game against people I have no history with. About 50 hands in. Villain has the big stack at the table. Hasnt been splashy but also isnt afraid to play hands.

V is MP, opens to $30.
One call.
Im in CO and make it $80 with KK.
Folds to V who makes it $350.
I jam and he insta calls.

Run it twice and brick both times.

Yay!

I jammed because of stack sizes. I cant fold with no history and cant really call because of how terrible a c bet would be on almost any board. Im committed at that point.

I have been running so bad lately. No end in sight. Drowning it out in gummies, overpriced steak and wine.

literally all of that was gibberish to me
Marching on in deathly silence, upon the shores we go.
Crashing tides applaud the violence, upon the shores we go.

I'm so lost right now.

At first, you had the right idea, you raised 2.6x the pot (to 16bb).

he is not villain, you are T_T
No, it's from his perspective thus he's the hero.

Anyway, classic cooler and nothing you could do. I hate those long stretches of run bad, just feels like you can never win, like no matter what you do you're getting sucked out on or your bluff called down.

Variance is a bitch.

Aldo's standing at the table
wondering if he's able
to pick the number right this time
watches as the wheel is spinning
for the number that is winning
as he reaches for his glass of wine.

Once he starts it's hard to stop
He's picking up the pace like a tight wound clock
and as he leaves the table
(no luck today?)
You can rest assured he's coming back to try again.

Not necessarily, I've occasionally 4bet with hands as weak as JTs. It's definitely not something I'd do often, but it can really throw people off sometime, including sometimes getting QQ or KK to fold. Especially if you've otherwise been playing pretty tight in that session.
Do, or do not. There is no Trumble.
I really don't like KK. Always feels like an Ace will come down, or someone has bullets. Problem is when you get dealt KK you just gotta play it because it's such a good hand.

I love cowboys get out. An A only flops about 20% of the time, 35% for one to come by the river. You need to shake that mindset and get more aggressive. You sound like a nit.

I get what you mean. Statistically speaking you should just play it, and it's just a bad beat if you come up against AA or an Ax hand that hits; but yeah, I feel a lot more comfortable with AK or even JJ since at least you usually know where you stand with those ones.
