This man shaped a huge part of my childhood, and instilled within me a love of manga, anime, animation, and more. He's responsible for drawing me into a world that I still love to this day. His creations brought me untold joy and excitement, and I think the world has lost a beautiful creative soul.
I am going to miss his new stories, his new characters, and his sustained influence over the art form. So many of the creators whose works I love were initially inspired by Toriyama. Some of them have already given their heartfelt messages.
I just want it to be known that I am hurt today. This is the most significant creative figure from my childhood to have died so far in my lifetime. I would have grown up to be a completely different person without him.
