I definitely wouldn't want it as my main mode of gaming because I prefer physical media, but being able to play Cyberpunk on high settings on my phone at the doctor's waiting room or in a browser tab on my cheap work laptop before coming home and continuing on my TV was so cool.

The controller is also my favorite because of the long handles.

Are you one of the 5 other people who played on Stadia?
Currently playing: Skyrim, Hearthstone

Yeah subbed in the beginning so I could play some games at work and then the pandemic hit and we went full WFH so I was like "lol fuck this"

But the couple weeks or so I had with it were really good.
It says right here in Matthew 16:4 "Jesus doth not need a giant Mecha."

It was a nice little experiment. But people spent more time criticizing it. Even though they never subscribed, or played the damn thing.
"Make pain your best friend, and you'll never be alone."
the worlds internet infrastructure isnt good enough for it. Youd need a datacenter in every city, even some of the smaller regional centers. Even then youd probably need Starlink laser-link to reduce latency as well. As it stood the latency was too high and games played like shit, youd even get booted from games because cutscenes went too long and it thought you were inactive
The biggest drawback and why it never caught on was the way it was monetized. It should've been the Netflix or Gamepass of cloud gaming service, but instead you buy games normally except with the downside that if they get rid of the service, the games are gone as well. Make no mistake there were "free games" that came with the subscription, but almost none of them were to write home about and tend to run worst than their pc/console counterpart. It was DoA when I saw how they were going to monetize it.
DI MOLTO!
I have a data cap, so it wouldn't have been viable for me. I did try Amazon Luna when I got a trial invite just to see what it was like, and it was mostly okay, but there were times where the graphics would glitch a little, and there was a slight delay. Both of which are byproducts of streaming. Those annoy me enough to never subscribe even if I didn't have a data cap.

I tried Amazon's version of it called Luna.

Apparently for this stuff to work you need crazy internet speed. All I got was a bunch of stuttering. I really didn't think we were ready for this.
This is where cool people write stuff.
i have the stadia controller but not the system itself. love it just wish its dpad was more ps style (mushy).
I'm a Taurus. Currently playing: Justin Wack and the Big Time Hack (PC) & DMC3:SE Ubisoft Port (PC)

I got 1gig internet and still had some hiccups. It's just gonna be a thing with streaming. Our internet infrastructure just isn't there for it to be near flawless.

YES. I love the Stadia and I really miss it.

It honestly worked perfect for me the vast majority of the time.

I didn't try the stadia but my experience with this type of thing is it's great for turn based games at least
I don't believe in belts. There should be no ranking system for toughness.
