Love the atmosphere of this game and I love the alchemy system. Very simple but different. And I love grinding in this game. The weapons, the magic and just getting stronger in general. Just got to the Volcano and I'm already a boss.

I remember hating having to grind out the alchemy but still a solid game.
AFK: Attack, fight, kill!! The healer is telling you to go pull mobs.

I got soft locked somewhere towards the end with a known bug so I quit it. Kinda soured my view of the game.

Yep. You gotta tell him you know him and he'll give you the bazooka and some ammo. I already defeated evil fat queen and took the flying machine back to see Fire Eyes and beat the giant blue bug boss. The game is piss easy if you grind magic.

Sad that Japan never gave the game a chance so we never get rereleases/ports of it.

I would love to play it again officially, I never did get all the spells, like that hidden desert one.

My biggest issue with it was the reagents you need to use abilities.

And yes, I am an Atelier fan.

Always wanted to play it, got hyped about it from Nintendo power but never got around to it, then played it finally maybe 10-15 years ago and didn't like it at all.

One of my favourite games from the SNES.

I like SoM too but I always liked SoE a bit more and really wish they would remake it like they did SoM
