Have a real time in game timer before the meteor hits before you finnish the game. If you fail, you gotta start pver.

Didn't Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII have something similar to this? I'm not sure how well it'd go with the player base, considering sidequests and grinding are a thing and I'm sure this wouldn't include some way to slow time or restart the cycle like in Majora's Mask .
