You dont know which spring is which, each of them have a different curse, but for helping identify one curse they will take care of you for the rest of your life

Forgot an explanation

Each pool of water has a curse tied to it and anyone that falls in has the curse applied to them

Once cursed, you will transform into whatever had drowned in that specific spring like a duck, a bull or cat, but retain your mind.

Whenever you touch cold water you change and hot water instantly transforms you back to normal

I'll just ask the guide which springs are which and happily dive into Spring of Drowned Girl or Cat (or both). But really, I don't think any of the cursed springs (we are aware of) are bad at all.

Or actually what if this takes place after they all flooded together and mixed with one another ?

Can I sacrifice the money to instead be allowed to push whoever I want into the spring of my choice as and when I feel like it? I'm thinking of pushing the entire Republican Party into the piglet one and then "donating" them to a farm animal rescue, or perhaps I should force the likes of Graham Linehan and J.K. Rowling into the springs that directly oppose their gender identities and then see how they feel about having to live their lives in the wrong bodies (at least until they take hot showers, anyway). Conversely, I could also help the trans folks out in a way that doesn't involve sadism toward people who absolutely deserve it by guiding them to springs that match their gender identities.

The guide specifically takes you to a bunch of unknown/unlabeled ones and you choose which one so they can identify it

But the guide also knew which springs were which, so he could also direct me towards the spring of drown man so I could change back. Seems like a really easy way to bypass any bad curses.

Since I can change back with hot water Ill take it. I guess the key is just to make sure you have someone with you who can get you hot water quickly so you dont accidentally get trapped, I feel like hot water is harder to find naturally.

There's absolutely such a curse, you'll be splashed by cold or hot water and the most inconvenient times.
